IntroPlayer is designed around the seconds before and during a live set: readable information, deliberate controls, and local playback that does not need the internet.
Performance essentials
- Offline audio import: choose MP3 or WAV cues from Android’s document picker. IntroPlayer copies managed app-private files so a cloud account is not part of playback.
- One Shot: the default mode plays one cue, then arms the next cue without starting it. Press Play for each cue.
- Continuous set: explicitly select once-through playback to run your audio tracks in order and stop after the final track. Tap a playlist track to restart it deliberately.
- Setlist editing: create songs, add notes, assign cues, and reorder entries with visible drag handles or accessible Up/Down actions.
- Portrait and landscape: a large current-track title and Play/Pause control sit above the optional playlist in portrait, or beside it in landscape. Lock the current view or save a preferred orientation.
- Restart and wait: rewind the current track to zero without playing it, then press Play when the band is ready. Pause/Resume keeps your current position.
- Color-coded controls: green indicates playing, amber paused, blue cued, and red stop. Text labels remain visible so color is not the only signal.
- Stage themes: Primitive Red is the default; Stage High Contrast requests full window brightness and restores the prior behavior when you leave it.
Pre-show protection
IntroPlayer checks audio routing, notification access, alarms, and timers before a performance. Interruption Guard uses notification metadata locally to identify likely call, alarm, and timer risks. Active cues are designed to continue through ordinary audio-focus interruptions; a disconnected wired audio route stops playback deliberately to avoid blasting through the tablet speaker.
With the required Android permissions, foreground sound protection suppresses ordinary non-media sounds without changing media volume. The exact controls vary by Android version; emergency alerts, other media apps, and manufacturer behavior can still require device-level preparation. Check the status in Appearance and rehearse with your actual output equipment. The foreground screen stays awake on battery or external power; manually locking or leaving the app stops playback, with no automatic resume.
Band Sync
Pre-release Band Sync lets one Host share setlist order, current position, notes, theme, and an optional graphic with read-only Listener devices. The Host remains the only device that plays audio. A Listener cannot start, stop, or otherwise control Host playback.
The Bluetooth-first candidate uses Host session, Join nearby, and approval on the Host. It does not require a hotspot for Bluetooth pairing. Both devices need a compatible candidate version; Android may also request device pairing or visibility approval.
Not included
StageBox, MIDI, cloud sync, polyphony, subscriptions, ads and account login are not included. Verified Pro testers have non-destructive trim, gain, fades, waveform preview and controller mappings in code13. Pad Mode and Band Focus are in the next local candidate, not yet delivered through Play. Public Pro sales are not open.
